Categories of complexity with the descriptions of the amount of work Soft Retouch Soft retouch of photos of high quality (made in a studio, as a rule). The purpose of such a retouch is smoothing out the skin of the face (on portraits) a little or correcting trifle faults of the figure, including faults of clothes (removing of folds, fractures and etc). For example: - to remove wrinkles; - to smooth out fold of nose and lips; - to smooth out face skin; - to even shade of skin of little open parts of a body; - to remove the effect of red eyes; - to whiten teeth.

Light Retouching Retouching of one or two minor parts of the image. For example: - a little stain; - some dirt, dust; - a little split, that is on the brink of the image and does not touch the primary objects; - changing of size: by means of cutting the brinks of the image or proportionally real sizes (there is no loss of elements of the image on the brinks); - turning colorful image into black and white one; - toning of a shot; - slight color correction of a colorful shot of high quality; - adding of contrast to a shot, that does not need basic restoration.

Moderate Retouching Retouching of average complexity. For example: - stains, dirt, split on minor parts of an image (clothes, background); - tone and color correction; - broadening of the space of the image by means of inserting additional objects into the borders of the shot (additional drawing of background); - coloring of simple objects; - replacing of a background; - adding vignette to images, creation of brinks fading effect.

Moderate Сomplex Restoration Restoration of photos with damages of average weight. For example: - harm (stains, scratches) on the parts, consisting important details (face, figure, clothes); - adding sharpness to an image; - editing (adding/removing/moving of objects); - coloring of 2-3 objects; - correction of wrong exposition (darkening/enlighten of a shot or some parts of it).

Сomplex Restoration Restoration of high complexity. For example: - lots of scratches, splits, stains, absent parts of the image on the details of primary importance (face, figure, clothes with complex decoration); - removing softness of the image (adding sharpness by drawing some details by hand); - complex editing; - removing the paper texture of the photo; - coloring groups of 3 and more persons; - complex restoration of colors (faded colorful photo with many objects, that needs additional operations - coloring some parts by hand); - darkening of very spoiled by inadvertent exposure parts; - inserting of absent details, adding of additional objects.

Group Сomplex Restoration Complex restoration of group of people (more than 3 persons).

Double Group Сomplex Restoration Double group complex restoration (10 persons and more) with considerable harm done, including faces, figures and other important details. Such a restoration requires high level of operator professionalism and take much time (about 6-15 hours).

Combination of 2-3 defects from one category answer the purpose of the given category’s complexity. Operations, raising the category of complexity one degree (additionally to the basic restoration): 1. Coloring (applied after the basic restoration). 2. Removing the paper texture of the photo. 3. Arranging of images of 2 and more parts.
